Business Funding

Funding Requirements Overview

Most funding applications are denied not because of the business — but because the applicant wasn't prepared. Here's what lenders actually look for.

Credit Score

Where does your score stand?

Your personal credit score is one of the first things a lender checks, even for business loans. Here's how lenders typically view each range.

700+Excellent

Qualifies for most funding programs including SBA loans, business lines of credit, and equipment financing at competitive rates.

650–699Good

Eligible for many business loan products. Some lenders may require additional documentation or offer slightly higher rates.

600–649Fair

Approval is possible with strong revenue and business history. Alternative lenders may be more accessible than traditional banks.

Below 600Needs Work

Credit repair is strongly recommended before applying. Most institutional lenders will decline at this range.
